Six posts in a row! Suck it, Grimlock! Where’s YOUR Lego set, you little bitch?

Found a neat trick online. Put your ugly yellowed bricks in a hydrogen peroxide solution and set them out in the sunlight for a few hours and BaBOOM…bright white Legos again. I have quite a large bag of old white pieces, so I’ve been setting them out while I’m at work and swapping them out the next day for another batch.
As I whiten them, I’m also finding rare/unique elements and trying to see what sets they are from, and if I have enough parts to recreate sets I don’t own.

A while back I saw a video where they used that method while restoring a vintage Kenner X-Wing and Falcon.

”Ohhh, and no ship that’s NOT crewed by the damned and captained by a man so evil that Hell spat him back out could possibly have black sails, therefore couldn’t possibly be any other ship than the Black Pearl. Is that what you’re telling me?”

I might pull my Queen Anne and the Imperial Flagship out of the front room and set them up together side by side.

Bought my wife the 2 Animal Crossing sets she wanted for Christmas. Bonus was that she wanted that free gift set, too.

I read that someone bought the Death Star using points. That would mean they spent $20,000 on Legos, or at least $10,000 on double point purchases.

The minifigs for the Imperial Flagship and the Queen Anne are somewhere in a bag full of minifigs that were stowed during multiple moves.
I also have the Barracuda Bay set unbuilt down in the basement.

Since you are so good at building pirate ships, are you getting the Goonies set? From the pictures, it looks like they did a good job making the exterior on one side and the interior on the other. Take note on that, Death Star.

I am not a big enough fan of that film to drop $330 on that set. If it had been a straight up recreation of the ship I might’ve been more interested.

The JAWS set was a fun build. It was the equivalent of three unique smaller builds. The trawler was such a different build from the shark which was different from the ocean/base. The front of the trawler was problematic and isn’t as sturdy as I’d like. Some of the elements aren’t reinforced on the interior and if they pop loose there’s no way to get into the interior without dismantling the entire front of the boat. It looks good from the outside, but it is handled gingerly.
