hey, while the message board may be under attack by multiple would-be emperor daddy-pantses, i still have full control over the rest of my website for some reason...

when firefox 1.5.04 came out, the javascript i was using to dynamically swtich the stylesheet to make the layout of the page different somehow stopped working. well, i finally had the time to develop a PHP solution to the problem, and to commemorate this momentous occasion, i created a new style - it's called "sturm" and if you go to any page of the site aside from the forum, you can switch to it by clicking on the link that says "sturm" next to the other links under "themes"

it looks fuckin' cool.

i should make one with a giant "&" in the background! that would rock ass!

meanwhile, i created yet ANOTHER new theme - it's called "mondrian", named after the dutch neo-plasticist that inspired it. the layout is based on the painting "composition with red, yellow, and blue."

i'm not a huge fan of his stuff to be honest. i think it's rather dull, and doesn't really show off his actual painting talent, but i thought it would make an interesting and challenging web layout. it proved to be interesting, but actually not too challenging, as the entire stylesheet probably took me no more than 3.5 hours to have completely ready to deploy.

The new theme looks good.
And yes, he is far, far overrated in my book also.
