I'm sick of fucking John Lennon today

Don't beat me over the head. The guy was a talented musician and his murder was senseless, but I am so fucking tired of hearing news stories about him today. Did nothing else happen in the fucking world today?

If he'd lived, he'd have the same pathetic joke of a career that Paul McCartney suffers through, plus he'd still be attached to Yoko, which is truly a fate worse than death.

Yeah, I'm a heartless bastard and I'm going to Hell because Jesus doesn't love me anymore now that I said it. I know it.

They'd better not pull this shit on the 25th anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death, or I will literally shit a brick.

What's really sad is that I think I heard more about Lennon's death than about Pearl Harbor which was just the day before. I know it was 64 years ago but fuck, it changed the world. All Lennon did was sign a record for his killer.

the wife was all about the lennon marathons on the radio yesterday. i don't really care one way or the other. his music was great, though you seem to be leaning more towards the news stories. i don't listen/watch the news unless it's BBC newshour on NPR, so i guess i dodged the bullet with that shit.
