Scarlett Johansson to Do Shower Scene in Making of Psyho
Scarlett Johansson is ready to play the most iconic naked murder victim ever.
The actress, 27, has signed on to play actress Janet Leigh in Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, about master director Hitchcock's horror classic, in which Leigh is memorably butchered in the buff while taking a shower at the Bates Motel.
Based on the nonfiction book of the same name by Stephen Rebello, the prestige pic will also star Anthony Hopkins as the auteur himself, and Helen Mirren as Alma Reville, Hitchcock's wife; British actor James D'Arcy will play Anthony Perkins, who portrayed serial killer Norman Bates.
As suggested by the title, the film centers on Hitchcock's then-risky decision to make (and finance himself) a seemingly lowbrow horror flick at the height of his legendary career.
The screenplay will be written by John J. McLaughin, who penned Natalie Portman's psychological thriller Black Swan, with director Sacha Gervasi at the helm.
Is it considered a "pathetic remake" if the movie is about the making of a more famous movie? I know. You don't care because all you care about is that shower scene. Meanwhile, you will be in your bunk.

It already had a pathetic remake, so this one gets a pass.

They are making a movie about making a movie? It sounds like either a parody or a plot to a horror movie.
I'm sure there will be careful camera angles so that you don't really see Scarlett Johansson naked.

Since ScarJo was kind enough to take pictures of her nekkedness, and some other bloke was kind enough to hack her phone and share those pics with the world, I'd say that's a moot point.

This. The leaked phone pics are way naughtier than the movie will ever be. God bless stalking.

Does this ever happen to you? You're flipping through channels and come across a movie like Horse Whisperer or Fly Away Home or Alaska playing, and it has a very young Scarlett Johannson or Anna Paquin or Thora Birch in it. And you just stop for a second and think
"I've seen your titties."
Not like you're thinking about the ten year old version of them or anything gross. More like, 'I can see into your future. And in your future, you show boob in a film. Noice.'

"No Tom Foolery today, Ron. I'm tired of looking at your dreadful, speckled mug."
"Why do you hurt me in this way, Harry?"
”It’s a grid system motherfucker. Eleven up and one over, you simple bitch.”

Didn't we see Thora Birch's titties in her first movie?

She was in Patriot Games when she was like 5. And that might not even have been her first. I doubt she had a topless scene.anarky wrote:Didn't we see Thora Birch's titties in her first movie?
Edit. I just googled her. Holy shit, she's 30?!?

Ah. It's clear what I thought was her first movie.
And a lovely role it was. Great movie even without those titties. But any movie can still use some good ol' fashioned titties. I wish more new Hollywood movies had titties. I like getting some breastacular action in non-pornos.

Fun fact: Thora Birch was only 16 when she showed her boobs in American Beauty.
And she was really hot in Ghost World.

Re: Scarlett Johansson to Do Shower Scene in Making of Psyho
The way I see it, if a girl is a minor but looks like an adult and puts her goodies on display in such a manner that it is legal to look at them, it does not make me a sickopath to take advantage and look. The 18-year legal cutoff does not apply in this case since it is a film that can be legally watched by anyone, and it's arbitrary when discussing physical development, so I will continue to imagine how much of Thora Birch's titties would comfortably fit in my mouth whenever I watch that movie and not feel bad about it. I may even pause and drool while staring at the screen, because I can.

Re: Scarlett Johansson to Do Shower Scene in Making of Psyho
I was going to start a Hitchcock topic, but I'll just hijack this one instead.
Specifically, I was digging through my boxes of DVDs and pulled out Psycho. On the DVD case it says it's rated 'R' which I found incredibly odd. Sure, at the time it came out it was a fairly lurid film, but by today's standards it's rather tame. Then, I googled the MPAA rating system, and it didn't take effect until 1966, six years after Psycho's 1960 debut. Which means Psycho's R rating was retroactive at some point. Can anyone think of a reason why it would be R? There's no actual nudity. There's no swearing. Much of the violence is stylized or implied rather than shown. I mean, CSI morgue scenes are more graphic. An R rating seems harsh.
Also, I saw the trailer for the new Hitchcock film starring Anthony Hopkins (and also ScarJo's bewbies). Alfred Hitchcock himself had a very distinctive, bombastic onscreen personality. So watching someone else, such as Sir Tony, attempting to do a Hitchcock impersonation, comes of as a BAD impersonation. I'm just saying. I'd rather just go watch old episodes of AHPresents.

In the 90's remake of Psycho you can see Anne Heche's butthole.

Re: Scarlett Johansson to Do Shower Scene in Making of Psyho
I know they re-rate movies occasionally, but don't know the details. Planet of the Apes was originally a G-rated movie, but I think it's PG, if not PG-13, now. I think the Zefferelli Romeo & Juliet was re-rated from an R to a PG-13.
Of course, boobies in the 80s was PG. Now it would be an R. And most R-rated movies are trimmed to become PG, thus losing valuable boobie time.
