The only April Fool's gag you should read

In this day and age, when "April Fool's" has become synonymous with "webmasters come up with unfunny and usually irritating gags they think are funny,"
this one stands way above the rest.
I'll admit, this one had me going, even if I thought the guy was certifiably insane and/or stupid.
Yeah, it's comics related, but I'm putting it here, since I'm sure everyone remembers the subject of the article.

Eh, it wasn't as good as the April Fool's Day "news report" a few years ago that spread across the internet like wildfire. It was a report that the creator of Mario and Zelda died in a car crash. It sent a bunch of gullible Nintendo fans into a frenzy.

Really, really funny - but this comment after the fact actually killed it:
While I can appreciate the fine work McFarlane did with Spider-Man, the decision to choose it over the exquisite “X-Force” work of Rob Liefeld is baffling.
Spider-Man #1 didn’t even include a trading card…
