Kind of a stupid question

So there's a new comic company, sorta in the vein of Dynamite or IDW (meaning it's really obvious they want to get licensed stuff and original works they can sell to Hollywood, and want to be another "little Dark Horse"). It's run by one of the bigwigs from theforcenet/rebelscum. And it's called Red Five Comics.
Now, I don't want to prematurely judge a company that hasn't actually released anything yet, but isn't naming your company after Luke Skywalker's callsign kind of a dumb idea if you aren't actually publishing the Star Wars comics or connected in any way to the company that is publishing them?
It's like starting a new film company called "Snikt, Bub" when someone else has the rights to Wolverine.
