I doubt I even get it on my TV so I could care less- and every local parade here these REAL crazy Star Wars Christians with the stupid name "Dark Jedi Knights" are featured, and I fucking CRINGE every time I sees 'em, they're ALL comic-book guy looking types, they have a couple of fat stormtroopers and some real portly Natalie and Carrie types, it's rough

Right when my wife turned on the parade, they showed the stormtroopers marching in the background as they went to commercial. She called me into the room. I said, "Ok" and left. That's about all I saw.

I missed it, and would likely have been paying attention if I were home to see it..... but the Rose Parade is all about getting your snacks ready, not about Star Wars. In or out, makes no difference to me or my breaded cheese sticks.

People are getting so up in arms about Eubanks' comments, I'm tempted to write in and commend him on his insight.

I have nothing against the 501st at all, but think it would be amusing.

He said that the 501st volunteers needed to go out and get jobs because they dress like Stormtroopers

That's all? Are people getting upset by it? Maybe someone needs to review the footage of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog from the movie premier. The dressed up fan boys stood there and took the abuse, too. He was laughing so hard, he had trouble making some of the jokes.

I guess the reason people are upset about it is because its a charitable organization. Its not like they are out there doing nothing, they do help with childrens hospitals and such.....

The thread about this on the other site is so pathetic its funny. Did anyone read the email Sal sent?! I shit better grammar and word usage. And frett, man. I think that guy LIVES in his costumes. They're good guys and all, but there is a such thing as "taking it too far".

And the whole "get a job" thing, how could frett be pissed at that, the poor guy has like multiple crappy jobs and is never home as it is, the flat un-truth of what was said should be more than enough reason to shrug it off

And whichever one of you here made the comment over there about how the one making the comment, his job was to fucking describe crappy floats in a parade while sitting on his fat ass and drinking diet pop, THAT was a good one, surprised nobody run with it and instead decided to take the outrage route

I started reading that thread, but I didn't get very far. Something else distracted me and I closed the page. Sal seems like a decent guy, yet slightly strange. What do they think they are going to get by sending angry emails to Eubanks? At best it will be an apology that no one outside the 501st will hear or care about.

That's another thing about him. In some way, shape or form in almost 75% of that guys posts, he complains about his miserable existence and that he has to work three crappy jobs and never gets time off and doesn't have money. Did anyone see the pics he posted of his living room before Christmas?! It looks like Slick's storage unit! And that IKEA case he has his Gentle Giant busts in probably cost more than my entire living room set. If you have that much superfluous shit don't EVER cry to me about your poor financial situation.
