Affleck would be a better Batman director than actor.

Also, let's extend the age-old B&TB debate. No one expected the security guard from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back to be an awesome Batman, so I'll withhold judgment for now.

Wait, why is the Internet pissed off? I thought Ben Affleck was in everyone's good graces these days - mostly due to his directing work, but still.

And the Boston accent jokes are fucking stupid when the nerds jizzed themselves for three movies with the goofiest-sounding Batman ever.

Some of the Bahstahn Aaccent jokes have been hilarious.

Here's what I think is going on. Ben Affleck is the new Clint Eastwood, and WB said "We'll let you do a whole bunch of movies, direct whatever you want, if you play Batman for us." And that was too good a deal for Affleck to pass up. If so, good for him.

Since I wasn't impressed with MoS, I'm not sweating how awful B/S will be. If its good, I'll be happily pleasantly surprised. If its awful like most DC movie have been(Catwoman, Jonah Hex, Green Lantern, Steel, etc etc) I'll have been preparing for it to be shit for three years and say I Told You So. Affleck being announced as Batman is nothing in the big picture. If it was someone else and not Affleck, there would still be a dismal Goyer screenplay, Snyder directing, Frank Miller *snort* consulting, interference from Nelson, Johns, Didio etc, and Nolan systematically removing any Joy from the film like a surgeon.

Will Matt Damon be cast as Lex Luthor?

The Super Amazing Funtime Batman Wonderbra Adventure is moving from July 2015 to May 2016.
So as not to get pantsed by The Avengers Deuce.

Jesse Eisenberg is playing Lex Luthor.

I checked a calendar and it's Feb. 1st, not April 1st. Then I double checked just to make sure it's not April 1st.

It isn't.

Eisenberg IS playing Lex Luthor.

Also, Jeremy Irons is Alfred Pennyworth. That works.

Between this and the DCnU, Warner is clearly trying to see how far they can take this enormous joke on nerds everywhere.

I guess Michael Cera wasn't available? :?: :?

Also, somebody posted a funny one in another forum. The Studio exec replies "WTF Snyder. We said get Heisenberg...." (Because Cranston's name was being liberally thrown around for awhile.)

Reviews are coming out.
It's at 41% on Rotten Tomatoes. Everybody is surprised. And by everyone I mean no one.

Unless they're surprised it's as high as 41%.

Without spoiling or infuriating anyone, Director Snyder has apparently made some questionable decisions about one of his main heroes in the film and used this scene from Miller's DKR to justify his choices.

I've lost track of how many times I've read DKR, but I've never interpreted that scene as anything other than Batman firing one round into the wall next to a scared shitless teenage punk's head and scaring the fuck out of him/her.

In which case, Snyder is a goddamn moron.

And I would interpret it as him smoking the guy - it looks like gore on the wall behind him, under the bullet hole. A machine like that doesn't spit out one round.
