We saw the GH Dewback/Sandtrooper set at WM this past weekend. The kids didn't seem all that interested, so we didn't buy it. Looks like we might be done with GH.

Finally saw the Lars Homestead yesterday in person. Why are they charging $50 for that?

Why are people paying $50 for it?

'Cause they got me by the balls.

I think it would have been infinitely more worth it if the base looked more like the Comic-Con photos and less like a shitty 70's Halloween mask.

They actually said in response to a question posed at SSG that no amount of fan petitions will change their mind on some figures, like anything else from the Holiday Special.

Fuck you, Hasbro. How any business has been afloat for so long while making it such a consistent policy to ignore the wants of their customers is beyond me.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the head of the company they work with to make these figures has a deep and burning hatred for the Holiday Special. I forget that guy's name, though.

Ackmena, Lumpy, Malla, Itchy, and, surprisingly, Goormanda have all appeared in other media. Why is it "worth it" for them to argue for yet another technicolor Boba Fett and not produce the figures people want? That Boba was shortpacked and an UGH, and it was still a pegwarmer.

Maybe he pegwarmed in bizarro world, but not around here. Dunno. Maybe if you bring up those characters based on their other appearances, Hasbro might reconsider. Say that they don't even have to reference the Holiday Special at all.

However, after checking on Wookieepedia, Ackmena has made no other appearances other than in passing in reference material, and Gormaanda only on a Holonet News article. So, nice try.

That is the exact response that most people would have if they made more Holiday Special figures.

Walmart wants $30 for the A-Wing? I have the POTF2 and the Saga version, and I paid $15 for them combined.

There've been more and more like that. Shit like the tin sets or the AT-AT reissue with new figures. Don't they know we're in a recession?
