Well, now that I've gotten used to the fact that I can't even view, let alone post on, the other site, I now declare this my official "nonsensical posting site".
EDIT: Working in the IT department at school has it's perks. The guy who runs the show (and has an office right next to mine) told me that it may take a while for the university's server to propagate the DNS (English translation please?) on Steve's new server. He told me that patience will bring the other site back.

there are two ways to access a website: through the IP address, and through the domain name. the DNS (domain name server) has to associate the IP address with the domain name, so you don't have to remember a number such as 108.992.14.11 or some such shit, and can just type in an easy-to-remeber name, like vynsane.com. i know that the server the website resides on and the registrar of the domain name (where the DNS info is stored) need about 72 hours to do their propagation... i didn't know there was an external step needed to be taken by servers accessing the data, but i GUESS it makes sense... so, yeah... he might be right. or you've been ousted. one of the two...

Can someone PM JT and make sure I'm not blocked or something weird like that? PLEEEEEEEEASE?! I want to make sure the problem is, in fact, on my end.

He doesn't like you.
I don't like you either.
I've got the death sentence in twelve systems.
You'll be dead!
You know, Dr. Evazan would have made a good pirate. He had the voice, the need for an eye patch, and he likes killing people. Bonus points for hanging out with a dude that looks like a walrus. It's just too bad he brought a blaster to a sword fight.

I like you too.
You'd better watch yourself. You're a wanted man. I've been in prison on twelve systems.
You'll be bubbafied!!

No, it should not have taken that long, propogation should have been at the latest Saturday. He can't even get to
http://www.sirstevesguide.com ? That one was immediate for pretty much everybody. Have him send an email to Steve:
sirsteve@sirstevesguide.com
If nothing else, it may include his IP address in the header.
-JT
so shoot steve an email, and we'll see how that goes... in the meantime, have you tried the main URL? just
http://www.sirstevesguide.com ?

They were planning an upgrade and had an article about it. Thing is, it was posted very shortly before the upgrade, and probably no one saw it.
Other thing is, it was supposed to be from 8-10 PM EST yesterday.
