I was taking my daughter to gymnastics this monring and realized I was behind a blue Nissian Rogue. It had 4 otter-related stickers and the license plate was "OTTERLVR". Could that have been Bizzaro Anarky?

So I've been thinking about getting a new vehicle. When my youngest kid turned 16 and got her license, I gave her the car I was driving to her. A bit later, I bought a '98 Chevy S10 for $5k. Just a beater to drive around on weekends and run errands. I'm not a mechanic, but I can do some basic stuff, and I figured a '98 was still in my range of ability. Since I had it, I dumped a few more grand into it. It was back in the shop this weekend because it needed an oxygen sensor and I need to get it done so I can get it smogged. I tell the guys at the shop that I don't want to sink a ton of money into it because I'm probably going to sell it by the end of the year. I was just telling someone the other day that it wouldn't be a bad little project truck, but I'm not sure I'd be the right person to do it.
As I mentioned, my oldest kid has basically moved out. My youngest graduates college at the end of this year. My wife said I could get a new vehicle. I don't want anything brand new because I whatever I get, I want to last 10-12 years. I started looking at 2023-24 Toyota 4Runners, or something like a Jeep Wrangler.
When I go to pick it up, they said it was a good little truck and was wondering why I'd want to sell it. They basically walked me through a Pimp my Ride/Counting Cars tutorial. It could be fixed up for $25-$35K over time and not $45-$50k with payments. I haven't made up my mind yet, but I'm leaning towards fixing up the S10.
