A fucking Sandtrooper was the Fan's Choice this year? WTF? I don't even remember a poll for that. Is that the one that was on Rebelscum? How did a goddamned Sandtrooper, who'd been released two fucking times already, win?
He didn't win the whole thing on RS, that was the Darktrooper. I think they're putting that sticker on the top four or eight or so, but I could be wrong. But they used the wrong sculpt (as with about 18 other Legends figures), so whatever.
I just got an e-mail from EE saying that my fucking wave 5 case shipped. Finally. Now I'm slightly less pissed at them.

What's bullshit is that Hasbro put out crappy Gree and Kashyyyk figures within the past two years, knowing there'd be "corrected" ones forthcoming in 2008.
What's worse is that there are so many figures going back to the 90s who desperately need a resculpt.
What's worse than that is that, in Q&As from the start and as recently as a few months ago, they lied about it. Meaning people bought armies of the Kashyyyk Troopoer.
What's worst of all is that all these idiots keep saying, "Oh, I'm only going to buy 5 of the new one. I'll use the old ones for background figures. I will consider my old Gree to be some sort of elite Clonetrooper."
That's it, guys. Keep feeding Hasbro's machine, and they'll keep giving you shit. Then you can all bitch and moan when the line goes down faster than Snigtad on his Uncle Rodger.
Christ, I like the Deuce, but is a resculpt really the most important figure right now? Isn't the one from 1997 still one of the best figures from that era? "But now he'll have articulated knees!" Yeah, that's what we need: articulated knees from a fucking character we see for fifteen seconds, and never below the mid-torso!

There are too many idiots in this hobby, and hasbro caters to them.
I have had enough disapointment, so I'm cutting way back on SW toys starting now. You may say "But Rouge II, how can you cut back when you haven't found any new figures?" Well, the longer it is taking me to find the new waves, the more I read on how they suck. I'm going to skip the ESB wave. Why do I need a Lando in Han Solo's clothes? He was only dressed like that for a minute. I'll probably pick up a couple of the ROTJ figures like Herme Odle and the Ewoks. It is time to be much pickier on what to buy. Not sure if I will continue next year. If I do, I doubt I'll be buying any main characters.
Hasbro is taking the line into more of the EU/Video Game/New TV series direction. That means less OT figures, which means less that I'd want. Half of those OT figures will probably me main characters that I already have and don't need. So, that will be at best about 10 figures I might be interested in.

It is kind of stupid that they're remaking Gree and the Kashyyyk Trooper so soon, but I think they look pretty sweet so I'll get them. I didn't army-build the other one since I knew they'd be doing a new one.
I think that the mix of figures this year has been good overall, though I could have done with less EU stuff. But if they only stuck to the films then they'd not have nearly as much product to make, which could be good or bad depending on your perspective. Hopefully the cartoon and its tie-in figures won't suck (and it looks like they won't, but who knows).

They could have plenty of product from the movies. They could have tapped unmade figures instead of making new molds for Revan and Malak and Pre-Cyborg Grievous(who I bought today and like). They could have made Yarna, Young Owen and Beru, Sgt. Dolyan(SP?) etc. They are losing fans and there money by going to EU so quickly.

They should at least balance shit out between movies and EU. It's cool that we finally got Torture Rack Han and Smuggler Lando. But if they're so keen on keeping major characters in production, why waste "slots" on inferior remakes of characters like Ceremonial Luke and Pilot Han? Why not Medical Frigate Luke? Hell, give us a fucking EU Han Solo in TIE Pilot Uniform. It's EU, but it's based on Lucas' actual backstory, so it's a little more "canon."
For that matter, where the fuck are all the Leias? I'm not clamoring for one, but if they have to release Leias, she's not been seen in the white costume for a few years. Hell, release a kitbashed Medical Frigate Leia, or Ceremonial Leia with the "other" white dress she wore.
And where in the name of God are the fucking Padmes? Count the number of costumes that have been produced from all three movies. It's less than the number of her costume changes in TPM alone! There's no fucking way you can say she's not a main character. She fucked Darth Vader and popped out Luke and Leia. Just because the pregnant Padme pegwarmed (twice, just like the Boush Leia is now on its third straight year as a pegwarmer) doesn't mean every Padme will. Aside from that one and the "Crazy Action Pop-Up AOTC Padme," they've all sold quite well. Some have been remarkably hard to find.
I really just don't understand them. We tell them what we want. They ignore us. We bitch about it and snatch up whatever shit they throw out. I'm done with it. Not with SW entirely. But I passed on the fucking animated Boba and ROTJ Luke again today, and it felt good saving the $15. (If I thought they'd ever release Akmeena, Itchy, Malla, or Lumpy, I'd buy that pastel Boba in a heartbeat. But what's the point if he'll never have any Holiday Special friends?)

Fuck, now they're telling us not to give them any suggestions in the Q&A's. What sort of fucking idiot would believe a Star Wars collector would say, "Hey! I wanted a Yarna figure, and I told you I wanted it. You made it. That was my idea! You never would have produced a figure from a movie that Lucas holds all rights to and which you hold all toy licenses to, had I not suggested it. Give me a million dollars."

Dunno, someone like Gothiczartan may do that if they ever make a new Dutch Vander . . . wait, no, he'd be too busy jizzing in his pants.
Where'd you read about them not taking suggestions?

JT put a message from them in the new Q&A thread that the sites should consult Hasbro's "legal guidelines" when asking the questions. The page he linked to specifically says don't submit ideas.

My suggestion for Hasbro would be to call Mulligan! on their entire fucked up toy business and go into the "get monkey shit flung at us at the zoo" business because it's less demeaning. Jesus fuck, you homos whine about your little plastic dollies too much.
I've had Double_G's mom. She's a lousy fuck.
