Really guys, it's ~$80 for a 9 disc set with TONS of extra goodies. This is not a huge investment...

I would watch the bonus disc once, might watch TPM once, and never watch AOTC and ROTS. The OT set would suit my needs. I won't be in a rush to buy it. They will probably put out a slightly nicer set in 2 years anyway.

It is a strong possibility I'll be getting a PS3 for Christmas. My wife said she would use it for movies.

Telling Darth Maul #2 to go to some mysterious place to be trained by his outcast brother and then showing him Darth Maul #1's face confirmed it.

Funny thing is, as much as I've been psyched for the Blurays...a month later I've only watched the TPM Yoda scenes and the PT/OT deleted scenes so far, while only making it halfway through the vintage documentaries.

I posted this at Snowtroopers, but it bears mentioning here - Lucas obviously didn't intend to kill Maul, he only meant to sever the lower portions of both legs... but CG being what it was back in the late 90s, it just wasn't possible.

If Darth Maul is back, they may as well add him to the OT. Have him drunk in the Cantina, drunk as hell yelling "Palpatine told me to go back to the begining!" He witnesses Ben cut off Walrusman's hand and the Greedo/Han confrontation. He goes to work Jabba. Gets the same cameo as Boba Fett when Han and Jabba talk in the hangar. Skip forward to ESB. He's trailing Han on Hoth for Jabba. He gets to Echo base the same time as Vader. Ends up on the bridge of the SMaultar Destroyer with the rest of the bounty hunters. In ROTJ, Vader sends him back to spy on Jabba. He's in the belly of the sail barge while they are fighting over the pit. He's in a room with some of the clumsy droids from the pod-race and Watto's shop in TPM. Just as Maul stops tripping over the droids, the impact of Boba Fett's body on the hull of the ship knocks loose a bowling ball that is being stored on the top shelf of a storage rack. The ball falls and hits Maul in the head, knocking him out. Just as he recovers from the hit, Luke & Leia fire the deck gun. As the barge is exploding, he falls out and lands in the pit next to Boba Fett.

Also maybe there can be a bunch of him and Darth vying for the "Lord of the Sith" title, maybe even appearing during the showdown on the second death star.

Also, since he survived, I think the death stars should have black and red "sith tattoos" on them- much more evil looking than boring old grey

Have you folks seen "A Light in the Darkness"?? I stumbled across it yesterday and was roundly impressed, it is in 3 parts all of which are on youtube. I would say it is best described as the exact opposite of the EU, the FU and pretty much everything that is not OT

Liam Neeson and Samuel L Jackson deserved better than the prequels. Those two in a movie together (especially when you toss in Portman and MacGregor) should be so awesome that the movie grows a set of balls that are so huge they crush the earth.
