And with my Rodimus figure, I do bid a fond farewell to another toyline.

Salut, boys!

I passed on Rodimus. After missing one of the seven Camshafts manufactured and passing on the totally made-up Nemesis Prime, it wasn't hard to pass on another silly repaint.

I'd rather they somehow re-start the line using figures based on the IDW alt-forms and transformations. (EG, Hot Rod is a Viper.)

Hey, Starscream!

So I got the WM exclusive "animated style" Masterpiece Starscream. I have to say, to be based on such a ridiculous piece of shit character, this is an amazing toy.

You'll be glad to know that I have you displayed in a showdown with 20th Anniversary Prime. Of course, he's going to kick your pussy ass, since he's twice as big, ten times as cool, has an axe for a hand, and, well, he's fucking Prime. But you're holding Megatron. I know you love to hold Megatron. It may not be in a post-coital embrace as you'd prefer, but (if you figure the way Megatron transforms) his ass is right on the palm of your hand. Yeah, you like that, don't you? Bitch.

Are those Starscreams abundant? Because I want one and driving to Wal-Mart is a bit of excursion to show up and not find anything.

I got one by way of Tycho from another site, who has a contact who is a WM stocker. I've not seen him otherwise. If I do, do you want me to get one? (Being in the boonies, I might have a better shot at one than you do; though the number of WM's in the vicinity is probably considerably fewer, the number of scalpers is, too.)

I've still not seen Starscream. I ain't forgotten, Rollo Red.

BTW, yesterday I was in Target. Two women were looking at the massive endcap of Ultimate Bumblebee. I was at the next endcap, looking at the exclusive SW stuff. (Sadly, I broke down and bought the ARC-170 Battlepack. I'm so weak. It had an astromech.)

So one of the ladies stops a passing employee and asks where the Optimus Prime is that goes with the Bumblebee.

The employee, being a standard uninformed minimum wage lackey, kind of hems and haws. I can't help it. I look over and say, "Ma'am, they don't make a Prime in that size. Only the Bumblebee."

"Are you serious?"

I point to my Decepticon t-shirt, which I'm wearing by some coincidence. "Yeah, I collect a lot of toys."

"That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard! My Billy doesn't want Bumblebee; he wants Optimus Prime."

"Funny, everyone else I've ever talked to about this agrees with you."

"What can I do? He doesn't want the little one that doesn't transform, and he doesn't want the one for little kids."

"I wish I could tell you. The closest I can think of is an exclusive figure Wal-Mart had about a year ago that they might still have one of, but that's Prime from the cartoon from 20 years ago, and he doesn't look anything like the movie version."

I gotta wonder if Hasbro realizes what a mistake they've made by putting all the emphasis on Bumblebee. Sure, you may see him more in that hunk of rat shit. But Prime is the big guy, the head honcho. Everyone loves Optimus Prime.

Besides, you see Shia LaTalentlessshithead a lot more than Bumblebee, and I don't see any figures of him. (Guess I'll have to wait until next year when he singlehandedly destroys the Indy series.)

You're off the hook.

My friend's wife is in Iowa this month and she hooked me up with one. I'll have to wait until after the holidays to get it, but I'm patient.

Thanks for keeping an eye out!
