I have a couple Miyazaki films on DVD, but I haven't seen some of the more recent ones, like Ponyo. And my Mononoke DVD is messed up an stops working halfway thru and I haven't ever replaced it.

2. In the last 80 years they've made an amazing selection of Top Notch films that are timeless and infinitely rewatchable. More than enough to fill programming on any number of the hundreds of channels on TV. So, why, instead of showing these wonderful films, do they insist on showing dreck? In other words, why is Bio-Dome on TV? Ever?

I noticed a commenter on a Yahoo! News article (which I was reading over Mrs. A's shoulder) whose name was "Emirate Xaaron." I said, "That's awesome! You know that guy is a huge geek!"

Then I told her who Emirate Xaaron was, and how obscure he is, and realized aloud, "I guess this makes me at least as big a geek."

Y'ever notice how commercials for products have to identify the people. Like you can't advertise a drug and show a guy in a white coat, you actually have to say "dramatic portrayal" or "real doctor compensated for his appearance"? But in a political ad about an issue that affects public workers, you can show people in scrubs or people standing in front of chalkboards without having to identify them as actors or real teachers and nurses?

My third random thought is that I don't have one.

Corin Nemec is starting to look a little like Gary Oldman.

Apparently, they're making Kickstarter Star Trek episodes with actors that appeared on old Star Trek series. Corin Nemec is playing a Starship Captain. How is Paramount and CBS not dropping a boot heel on these things? (I imdb'd Nemec after I didn't see him as an AlQuaeda terrorist on NCIS.)
