Just so you guys know, the Joker figure looks much much better in person. It's got a much better paint app than the pic I posted.

I found one Zev Senesca yesterday. The card was mutilated, which is probably why I found him.

Also got Wild Bill and the movie Duke with jetpack. I was going to pass on Duke, but he really looked sweet in person.

I'm thinking now that I might buy all the black Stormtrooper and Clonetrooper variants and Neyo, then sell my exclusive ones from a couple of years ago.

Y'know, KH, I'd not realized how apropos the question about exclusives was. Every figure in the new wave is a former exclusive. Except maybe the black R4 droid. Wait, I just looked, and he was a TRU exclusive in 2003.

That fucking wave disgusts me. The only one I have is Zev and Neyo because I bought the packs. But seriously, a whole we of former exclusives, none the less, voted on by the public. Even worse

The R4 droid is from an older wave, just in case you care (which I know you probably don't, but there it is).

I don't mind too much if they re-release some exclusives. Sure it sucks when they send out a $13 figure for $6, but most of the time it shouldn't have been $13 to begin with and nobody forced anyone to buy it. I got Neyo to replace that fucker in the battle pack that had a visor that wasn't in the movie.

Just wondering, though, why does it piss you guys off? Were you planning on selling the figures or something?

It's annoying if you buy something for $20 and then it's $7 a year later. Really annoying.

My concern is that, since the retailers insist on exclusives, what happens when everyone realizes that the exclusives will be "normal price" a year later and pass on them, essentially making the exclusives worthless to the retailers and pissing them off? Retailers aren't bright. They could get pissed at Hasbro and severely cut back on ordering SW altogether. That would be really, really bad for both us and Hasbro.

Well, you're not collecting, and I'm scaling back, but, yeah. Most people do buy from the big three, so anything that makes them stop or cut back ordering means less availability, and likely less options.

that's mainly what i meant, they've already shot themselves in the foot with all the stupid shit they've pulled in the past. what it comes down to is: who spends more money? collectors, or scalpers? it seems like they're really marketing to scalpers at this point with rampant exclusives and shoddy distribution. making the product "rare" thus sending scalpers into a frenzy of buying everything they see just to make a few bucks on turnaround. it's sad, but pretty apparent...

has anyone actually seen the walmart exclusive "stealth operations (war machine)" iron man movie figure?

Haven't been looking, but I will now. The only IM figures I've seen have been at Target, though.
