the weirdest thing about that guy is the fact that there are two sets of guys, but one crane is the right arm and the other is the left leg, and the same goes for the bulldozers as well... does that mean that all the appendage guys are inter-changeable? that's actually pretty freakin' cool...

Most of the original Combiners were that way. Anyone could be an arm or leg. Except the Original Devastator.

really? i don't remember it that way, but then again i didn't have many of the combiners, anyway. don't know why. i had half of the constructicons, somehow...

The Predacons and Pretender Monsters (ie, Predaking and Monstructor) weren't that way. Also, the Seacons (Piranhacon) added a fifth smaller component who became a weapon, again interchangeable with the other components.

Have you seen the Combo City episode and commercials on the 20th Anniversary DVD? Weird ass stuff.
