David Prowse's daughter said he died from complications due to COVID-19.
Not trying to sound crass, but Darth Vader died from a respiratory illness. That's fucked up.

People forget McDiarmid was in his 30s when he originally played the Emperor in RotJ.
I had no idea he was that young in ROTJ. The only reason I'm not shocked is because I was watching the Ken Burns Baseball documentary recently which obviously has a ton of archived footage and pictures. It was amazing how people in their 30s or 40s before 1960 look like what you would expect someone in their 50s or 60s to look like today.

RIP David Lander, a.k.a Squiggy from Lavirne & Shirley and Smartass from Roger Rabbit. Or, our kids probably know him as Henry the Penguin from Oswald.

Also, a non-celebrity death, we had to put one of our dogs down Thursday evening. He was about 14 years old. Missed him Friday morning because he wasn't there to beg me to take him for a walk. My wife did offer to walk to the park and poop in the grass so I had something to clean up. Last night he wasn't there to beg for popcorn as I made it. I didn't even bother making popcorn tonight.

I’m sorry about your Goodest Boy. Saying goodbye never gets any less heart wrenching.

"Jesus, he sure went fast!" - everyone, including his first girlfriend (presumably).

Godspeed.

i'm so sorry, that sucks, man...

we are on the cusp of losing at least one, and up to 3, of our cats. one has diabetes and is 15 years old (she's on insulin, and two other medications for other chronic illnesses), another has a heart condition and a 'widowmaker' blood clot and is 13 years old (he has his own pill organizer for all the medications he's on), and another has a thyroid condition and is 14 years old (just one medication).
Life is short. STUNT IT!

Same here. Cat is 18 years old. She’s blind, takes heart medication and is probably gonna be doing dialysis soon for her kidneys. My GF has had this cat since she was nine years old. She turns 27 this year. Losing her “best friend” is going to be traumatic to say the least.

RIP Jeremy Bulloch - Complications from Parkinson's. I didn't know he was in AOTC or that there was an action figure for that character.

we had to have Wedge (the one with the heart condition and clots) euthanized on Christmas Eve. that morning, he was acting odd and quite rapidly lost the use of his back legs. the vet said this indicates that a clot broke free and caused a "saddle thrombosis" (the main arteries to the back legs look like a saddle) which is fatal. so we're down to 4 cats.

Simon, the one with the hyperthyroidism, started breathing heavily last week and we brought him in for imaging. his lungs were so occluded they couldn't even really diagnose what was going on. said it was either pneumonia, or "a mass", but the breathing seems to have gotten better, so i can't think it's cancer - that usually doesn't go away with antibiotics and diuretics. we're taking him back in for a follow-up tomorrow to see what's what. we keep finding little throw-ups of tinsel from the tree. i'm convinced he inhaled some.

Sorry to hear about your cat.

Tommy Lasorda passed away. He was the first baseball manager I could remember, and I was a Yankee's fan as a kid.
