As a cost saving measure, I put two comics in every bag/board. One facing forward, one facing back. This also allows more comics to fit in a long box since all that extra plastic and cardboard isn't in there taking up space.

Not a bad idea, but I'd have trouble sleeping thinking they were banging into each other. And then what happens if you get an issue that causes a huge shuffle in the middle - do you just leave it on its own???

The standard is odd numbered issues on the front, even on the back. So if there's a hole in my run, it's got a 'home' already.
One shots get paired with each other as they are released.
Even numbered miniseries take care of themselves.
Odd numbered miniseries get combined with other odd series or get a oneshot put with them. Usually the oneshot is in some way related to the mini/Event (like Schism and Regenesis. Or the SpiderIsland minis and oneshots.) so it works out.
Recent Annuals usually find a home with the recent .1 issues.

Worst case is a comic is in a bag by itself. Which isn't the end of the world.

Did you notice Marvel slightly tweaked their covers this week? The little red border box with the issue number in it is tweaked on all the issues. Both the number and the border are thicker/bolder. Just something I noticed.

Did not notice. I still have to read my stuff from this week other than the Game of Thrones - speaking of which I'm guessing around 6 issues per novel, would that sound right? I think I can safely read #3 without spoiling myself, but past that I will actually have to pick up the book again.

Ermm...I think the comic is about to chapter five of the books.
I just looked. Since the chapters aren't numbered its tough, but they are doing 3 chapters per issue. So it was the end of the fifth chapter, but adding in the prologue it was six. So 56 pages of a 674 page book have been adapted. At that rate the first book will take 27 or so issues. 27 issues once per month and the first book will be done in 2014.

12 books this week. I had 9 and honestly I could've put FI 7.1 back on the shelf, but instead I rounded up.

Amazing Spidey 673. Epilogue to SpiderIsland. Carlie figures out Pete is Spider-Man and breaks up with him. Kaine becomes the new Scarlet Spider and gets his own book early next year.

Avengers Academy 21. The new class begins on the west coast. And no shit, Wiz Kid is one of the new students. He was only on one page, but i was all 'shutthefuckup!'

Avengers Origins: Antman and Wasp oneshot. A fairly dry retelling of their origin. Not worth $4. I think I'll skip the other oneshots in this series.

Fear Itself 7.1 What the fudge?! Bucky didn't die during FI. He faked it. with the help of Black Widow and Nick Fury. Steve finds out in this issue. Leads into an ongoing Winter Soldier book.

GIJoe 7. Cobra sinks their sub with all the Joes in it. All the important Joes survive, but 60 don't. Also a Joe named Pokerface gives his life against the rogue B.A.T. In Springfield. The new Cobra Commander gets revealed next issue.

New Mutants 33. Part of the ReGenesis. Dani and her team of X-Man, Magma, Warlock, Sunspot, and Cipher move into their new San Fran townhouse. Sam and Karma leave and join the Wax-Men.

Shame Itself oneshot. What the--?! style spoof of recent Event comics. Hilarious. Ya never see DC pokin' at themselves like this.

Transformers 29. Spike comes clean to Prowl about murdering Scrapper with tech he got Swindle. Prowl tells the humans they can all go get fucked. The alliance is over.

Villains For Hire 0.1 Point One issue that bridges the gap between the recently cancelled H4H book and the new V4H book (which, let's face it, will also be quickly cancelled).

[Pointless] X-Men 19. Picked this up to round out the 12. X-Men and the Future Foundation team up to fight some alt dimension goons. Ironically both Magneto and Dr. Doom were on the side of heroes this time. So, not your dad's Marvel Comics.

[Pointless] X-Men 20. Part of ReGenesis. Storm and her new team of Psylocke, Jubilee, Warpath, Domino, and Colosso-naut are tracking smuggled Sentinels into country that's not Latveria or Symkaria, but is right near them and ends in "-sahkstan". Then War Machine shows up and they tussle.

Uncanny X-Men 545 1. First Issue! (Until the Legacy renumbering). Cyclops put together his "Extinction Team" of Namor, Magneto, Hope, Storm, Emma, Magik, Danger, and Colosso-naut. Mr. Sinister shows up and somehow takes over the Dreaming Celestial that's been standing in Golden Gate Park for the last decade. I call bullshit on THAT particular story point.

But the most important thing to take away from this week is Wiz kid in Avengers Academy.

12 books this week. Also got 10 books out of the 50 cent bin.
Avenging Spider-Man 1. Spidey and Red Hulk team up to fight invading moloids and their new master. Who looks like a Yellow Doomsday. I'm not sure if that's a new villain or what. Anyway, good stuff from Zeb Wells and Joe Mad.

New Avengers 18. Osborn recruits yet another group of villains to pose as Avengers. Some of these people are so obscure even I have to google them. And I'm pretty good with obscure Marvel characters.

Avengers Origins: Vision oneshot. Another fairly dry origin tale. One question it did raise for me that wasn't answered. Why did Ultron give Vision a cape? Why would a living logical computer give a shit about aesthetics?

Battle Scars 1. Who is Marcus Johnson? I have no idea. But finding out intrigued me enough to pick up issue two. Plus, recently fired Marvel editor Alejandro Arbona used the word 'fooforaw' in the letters page. Any comic wih the word fooforaw in it gets a +1 in my book.

Fear Itself 7.2 The fallout of Thor's death and the fate of Asgard are the focus of this issue. Odin abdicates his throne to Freya, Gaea, and Idunn. Then takes his dead brother's body back to old Asgard. All the heroes then burn Thor's body and Tanarus erupts from the flames as the new God of Thunder. But now everybody ONLY ever remembers Tanarus as the thunder god. He's ALWAYS been the Avenger everybody knows, etc. The only person who realizes something ain't kosher is Loki. Who doesn't remember Thor either, but realizes Tanarus ain't Thor.

Ghost Rider 5. Alejandra goes on her first solo GR mission against a human trafficker who turns out to be her father.

Magneto: Not a Hero 1. Joseph, the hippie clone version of Mags is back and kills a bunch of anti-mutant protestors, trying to pin the heinous act on the real Magneat-o. Cap and Iron Man meet with Scott and Erik to figure things out. Great Clay Mann art. Sadly, my copy had a huge split on the slide that I didn't see until I got home.

Marvel Point One oneshot. Big $5.99 issue of upcoming books and storylines from next years books. The Defenders, Scarlet Spider, and possibly an alt reality Nova warning 'the Pheonix is coming!' were some of the features.

PunisherMAX 19. The mannequin Punisher and the mannequin Kingpin and the mannequin Elektra all wooden their way through another issue.

Journey into Mystery 631. Kinda the same as the FI 7.2 issue, but from Loki's POV. And better writing.

Wolverine 18. Wolverine, GorillaMan and Immortal Weapon Fat Cobra fighting drug smuggling dragons in the employ of the Jade Claw and her underground poppy field the size of Australia. So much absurdity, it's fun.

X-Men Legacy 258. Rogue and her team save the satellite and get back home with Rachel, Alex, and Lorna in tow.

Been a while since I posted my buys.
Random notes on a few issues.

10/12
Batgirl #2
Batman And Robin #2
Jennifer Blood #5
Punisher #4
PunisherMAX #18

10/19
Batman #2
Bionic Man #3 - still not bionic yet.
Boys Butcher Baker Candlestickmaker #4
Catwoman #2
Uncanny X-Men #544 - Curiosity. Shoulda saved my $3.

10/26
Batman The Dark Knight #2
Spaceman #1 - No idea what the fuck I read (weird shit), but I liked it.
A Game Of Thrones #2
Daredevil #5
Wolverine And The X-Men #1 - How fucking retarded. I didn't know X-Men has turned into a piss poor comedic title.

11/2
The Boys #60 - The president gets killed when a wolverine eats his face. I love this book.
Detective Comics #3

11/9
Batman and Robin #3
Batgirl #3
Punisher Max #19 - I kinda feel ripped off. I read this in like 3 minutes. In the old days this whole issue would have take maybe 1/3 of the issue.
Jennifer Blood #6 - The end of the mini-series. But another series starts next month!

To balance out your Punisher, read Amazing Spidey. Those things take like 20 minutes to read through - Slott is like Lee & Ditko all over again with the 400 frames per page, all filled with words.

But I digress. It was raining hard here yesterday so I'll go buy comics later today.

But that would be telling Joe Q that One More Day/Brand New Day/Another Bullshit Day was all well and good.
And I can't have that.

You fucking libtard! Why don't you stay away from the comic books and go do something you really want to do, like have a group smoke on Wall Street or complain that Herman Cain, a truly great American, grabbed your ass?

I'll have you know that your precious fucking "Punisher" is written by a goddamn limey bastard! Fuck those fucking European socialist pricks! I may agree with the Punisher's methods for dealing with fucking libtards but I can't condone stealing American jobs from an American superhero like Spider-Man.

Go suck Jane Fonda's commie twat.

The way Dan Slott is slowly nudging Pete and MJ back together, you might want to rethink that stance. First off, MJ was crucial in Spider Island, swinging around in a tattered shirt with all her goodies hanging out and helping Pete save the day. After the climax, she whispered "I love you" to him and when he says "what was that?" she says "nothing". Then they share a tender moment at the Empire State Building in the aftermath of SI. Then Carlie and Pete break up because she found out he was lying to her about being Spidey.
Not to mention, each and every issue is crammed with hilarity and fun since Slott took over.
