It's due more to me being back at work and bored as fuck.[:D]
I got off the phone with my wife about an hour ago. After two days of waiting, she finally saw the specialist today. He said that as long as she's in no rush to get home, he's in no rush to examine her beyond an ultrasound. WTF?! So the appointment we'd been waiting for lasted no more than five or ten minutes. The kids have grown about a pound each in the last two weeks, which is awesome (Hayden out weighs Hannah by about a half pound).
Instead of getting pissy about it, we're just gonna take it as a "no news is good news" type thing. At least Colette has been keeping a great attitude about things. She gets bored laying in her hospital bed all day, but she knows that being a human incubator is the most important thing right now.
Even though she's still in the hospital, we're trying to return to a sense of normalcy, so "fatherfucker" is perfectly acceptable. For now.

Okay, thanks, fatherfucker.

Neither the wife's nor the kids condition has changed, but I'm pissed.
They decided that my wife must've needed a new view or something and moved her last nite at 11:30 pm across the hall into a new room. Keep in mind that this is after they gave her her nitely Ambien. As if that didn't piss me off enough, my wife called me at 7:00 am, crying, telling me she hadn't been to sleep yet because her new roommate snores super fucking loud (since she's been preggers, my snoring ass has slept on the couch).
Granted, the snoring roommate issue is not anything I can deal with, but when the nurse's manager comes around tonite I'm gonna give that cunt an earful about moving her so late last nite. Are you fucking telling me that they didn't anticipate having to put her in a different room earlier than that?! I'm pretty sure that the patients who need it to recover from surgery have been penciled into their surgeon's planner for months. Grrr!
Anyway, thanks for the kind words, vynnie. I'll be sure to pass them on to Colette. At the very least, I can use this thread as my "vent" I suppose.[frus]

Her Mom actually dealt with it before I got there (and probably much more tactfully than I would have, too) and now she has a new room with (ironically, based on the title of this thread) a roommate who can only speak Spanish.
Today marks the start of the 27th week, which ain't too bad considering that on March 24th they told her they'd be surprised if she was preggers in two weeks.
Now they're looking ahead to the start of the 28th week (the doctors are, we're not. We don't look any futher than the day we're on) to reevaluate her situation. They have no plans of letting her go home, but they may put her on a pill instead of an I.V. to stop her contractions.
And on a side note, who is The Ghost of Lemmys Warts? Are you an alterego or someone from the other site? I'm so confused...
