Re: The funny ass picture thread
I'm assuming it's just the three film Supermen; Reeve, Routh, and Cavill. Because I don't see any Cain or Welling in there.
BtW that Superman looks like a sissy. The sum is definitely not greater than the parts.

Re: The funny ass picture thread
Aside from being a shitty actor, something about Steven Seagal always looked Superman-ish to me. Well, if he could manage a facial expression other than "functionally retarded." I think it's 'cause Bogdanove's Supes looked a lot like him in profile.

Re: The funny ass picture thread
The comic shop I used to frequent in VA posts funny comic-related pics, and this was one of their latest posts. I can't stop laughing at how ridiculous this page is.

(How fucking sad is it that the comic shop where I shopped in a small, rather isolated city in rural VA is still around and going strong, but I only have two comic shops within 30 minutes of me in dense SoCal, and they're both asshole factories?)

Okay, First, I probably own that issue.
And second, I can't stop laughing at "Where do you live?" "On the edge."
I mean, the 36..caliber is hokey and forced. But the 'on the edge' is downright sublime. Who wrote that shit?
We need a new emoticon.
<----- Because this doesn't even do justice to how hard I'm laughing.

Re: The funny ass picture thread
The only problem with it is that the "on the edge" is so stupidly funny that it detracts from the "Punishment Day!" bit right after it. You can't fully appreciate the absurdity of Punishment Day because you're too busy laughing.
Think about that, though. What the fuck does "Punishment Day!" even mean? It might almost work if he'd asked what day it was, but he specifically asked the date. That makes zero sense. Hell, that makes -10 sense. It makes even less sense than those ridiculous kneepads P2099 is wearing.
One of you might know: was Punisher 2099 supposed to be a satire? If it was, they succeeded. If not, and this is truly supposed to be gritty and edgy, they failed worse than anyone has ever failed in the history of attempting things.

Re: The funny ass picture thread
I'd bet money that if you asked them today they'd say 'Satire' and go to their grave without admitting they were going for 'Gritty'.
EDIT. Eh. Y'know, I just looked it up on cbdb and the writers for most of the series were Pat Mills and Tony Skinner. Chuck Dixon closed out the series with the final six issues. But Pat Mills is known for a lot of Judge Dredd and Marshall Law stories. So maybe he was going for satire. I dunno. It's more plausible.
