Re: star wars
They announced those figures a while back, and they're from an old story, so while not great (or really even good), it's not new or "the direction Star Wars is headed," IMO.
Shit. I can't think of a good signature.
Re: star wars
I'm cool with only a handful of cool OT figures a year, since nearly everybody has been done. That's really all we got during the POTF2 days, and I was fine with it then. Those new figures look pretty dumb, and I have no desire to see Clone Wars.

Re: star wars
I'm cool with only 2 or 3 waves of OT figures, too. I'll pick and choose waves what I want. And if it takes Power Rangers, Darth Cobra Commander, and a ton of clones to perpetuate the line, whatever. I won't buy them.JON wrote:I'm cool with only a handful of cool OT figures a year, since nearly everybody has been done. That's really all we got during the POTF2 days, and I was fine with it then. You will cry horribly, your children will look up you like... ahhh, just kiddingRogue II wrote:How bad? Will it make me cry?
I was going to start ranting and raving about those fugly figures, but stopped myself because I realized, no one is forcing me to buy them and they keep the line going for great OT sculpts like the up coming ANH wave in 2009. But still, when I see shit like that and that new EE stormtrooper pack crap with some stupid tentacled dark jedi master, my colon tightens!

Re: star wars
Well I got a good deal today - a BMF/AT-TE combo for $200, from some dude who apparently has a pipeline from the US open. Well I simply returned the AT-TE to my local WM for a store credit which I'll use to buy groceries or whatever. Total cash outlay for the BMF? $92 and change.

Re: star wars
Thanks guys, it really just jumped in the boat for me. My wife was even okay with it because I've been selling so much lately. I'm getting it for Christmas (fine with me as I have no idea where I'm going to put the fucking thing).

Re: star wars
JJ, I greatly appreciate the C-3PX figure you sent. You are a rock star.
However--and do not think this in any way is a complaint against you, as I really and truly thank you for helping me out with him--this is possibly the most inaccurate figure since Battle R5-D4. Hasbro screwed the pooch royally here, which is sad because it should be astoundingly easy to make a perfect C-3PX entirely from existing parts.
I should not have to heavily customize a figure to look like the character it's supposed to be.

Picked up the new GG Aalya Secura bust. Umm...this thing is incredibly sexy! For fuck's sake, they gave her the sexy butt dimples, perfect cleavage, a hot fucking stomach with her belt/pants hanging right before the ol sexy pubic line, a fucking hot bod all together and to top it off, bedroom eyes!
scroll down a bit and you'll see a whole slew of photos someone took of this magnificent GG bust!

Re: star wars
An interesting update:
C-3PX is now Anarky Jr's favorite toy. Last night, she pulled off one of his legs and looked at me, shocked. I said, "Oooooh, you broke it!" Now she likes to take him apart and say "brokit! brokit!"

Kids like crappy figures. Mine loved the rocket firing R5-D4.

Re: star wars
It kinda reminds you of who they were really made for....
Right now, she's having a ball with Masterpiece Megatron's Fusion Cannon.
Yeah, that's right. I dropped $90 on an imported toy and now a 2-year-old is playing with it.
