In certain areas of the US people call soda, cola, coke, pop, or whatever. To me cola is soda, everything else is different. He was being literal when he said cola by not meaning soda. Fuck you, its ham, not canadian bacon.

So "soda" is cola? I'm still all fucked up. To me, "soda" is any carbonated, non-alcoholic beverage, "cola" being a type of soda.

And anyone who even thinks about saying "soda" instead of "pop" should take off their fucking poodle skirts.

Ok, so I've taken a few pucks to the melon...But, since I moved away from my family in Western NY, I rarely it pop. I sure as hell never call it cola. Now, I just usually just use the brand name of either Coke or Pepsi.
